Dr. Marcelo Siqueira is a Brazilian native who attended medical school at the University of Brasilia, in Brazil. Upon completion of medical school, Dr. Siqueira came to the United States to further his orthopedic training. He did a two-year research fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, OH during which he published and presented numerous studies on total hip and knee replacements. He has a special interest in improving clinical outcomes, identifying risk factors for complications and management of complex hip and knee problems.
Dr. Siqueira went on to complete his orthopedic surgery residency also at the Cleveland Clinic, where his passion for hip and knee replacement surgery was confirmed. After five years of residency, Dr. Siqueira did an additional year of fellowship at the Rothman Institute/Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA where he specialized in the direct anterior approach for total hips, robotic knee surgery as well as complex hip and knee revision surgery.
Outside of orthopedics, Dr. Siqueira enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, working on home improvement projects, swimming, playing and watching soccer. In addition to English, he is fluent in Portuguese.
