This position is uniquely responsible for supporting our high-volume orthopedic multi-specialists. In addition, is accountable for, but not limited to: rooming patients, capturing vitals, obtaining/entering clinical information into the patient’s electronic medical record, cleaning/ maintaining exam rooms, fielding clinical messages, cast removal/application, suture removals, and injection preparation. You will also receive expanded orthopedic in-services (Casting, DME Training, IV Training, and more!)

We are looking for someone with strong communication skills, who can multi-task and has a positive attitude. If you are an experienced Medical Secretary who is kind, enthusiastic and dedicated, we are looking for YOU! Job responsibilities include but are not limited to: serving as a liaison between patient/family/provider, maintaining a physician’s clinic and surgical schedule, coordination of care, maintaining patient medical records utilizing EHR, performing outreach calls to patients, physicians, and nursing facilities, and most importantly, creating a positive patient experience by providing excellent customer service.

Plymouth Bay Orthopedics is looking for a dependable, and motivated person to join our Patient Access Representative team, where the goal is to provide exemplary service and a positive experience to every caller. The Patient Access team facilitates inbound calls from patients who wish to schedule appointments or have questions about their medical conditions. In this position, you will be the first person that patients will speak to, and be the voice of PBOA! Ideal candidates will have knowledge of health insurance guidelines, medical terminology and be able coordinate urgent and non-urgent appointments utilizing fifteen provider schedules.
