Carissa earned her Bachelor’s degree majoring in Health Sciences at Drake University in Iowa, where she is originally from. She then moved to Massachusetts and received a Master’s degree in Human Physiology at Boston University. Furthering her clinical studies, she received her Masters in Physician Assistant Studies at MCPHS University in Boston. After working for 5 years in emergency medicine managing acute orthopedic injuries, she joined our sports medicine team to help our local community after moving to the Plymouth area.
In her free time she enjoys hiking, skiing, kayaking, and exploring new places with her family.
