Is this the same as a traditional urgent care?+
No. Ortho Urgent is specifically focused on acute orthopedic injuries — not general illness. You'll be seen by an orthopedic specialist team.
Is Ortho Urgent for chronic pain?+
No. Ortho Urgent is intended for new or recent injuries only. Ongoing pain should be scheduled as a standard office visit.
Can I come for medication or pain refills?+
No. Ortho Urgent does not provide medication refills of any kind.
Will I receive imaging at my visit?+
If clinically appropriate, imaging such as X-rays may be ordered as part of your evaluation.
What happens after my visit?+
We will connect you with the appropriate orthopedic specialist and outline clear next steps for your recovery.
What if my injury happened after hours or on the weekend?+
If you have an emergency, go to the ER or call 911. Otherwise, call us the next business day at 781-934-2400.
Do I need a referral?+
